Why didnt dead men walking get more profile?
Good question - without getting too bitter about it - it is maybe because we rocked the boat a bit with its honesty (one U.K. national leader was particularly offended by it!) and we don't have a public profile with a national organisation (or maybe it was just rubbish?) You tell us - please push the books for us it seems the best way anyway ! - grassroots and all that
What is the title 'dead men walking' all about?
Well it took us over a year to think of it and it came from Baz who felt that that summed us up really - we are dead without God and without openness and reality with each other, we have since been involved in a men's group that was nicknamed "broken plonkers" so maybe that should have been the title!
Are Lee or Baz available to speak at my event?
yeah we have a lot of experience in doing events, conferences and festivals both together and individually - for men and women too! - please email us with some details - invites from exotic places especially those with golf course are especially welcome :)
Why are your books so honest? Are you just out to shock?
No we really weren't we just decided to write a book like we were speaking to our mates in the pub - we decided not to pull too many punches because when I am trying to be real with my mates I don't do it then either - but somehow in the Church we pull punches all the time because we don't want to offend, but also because we often don't want to admit that our leaders have failings or they even go for a poo!
We just wanted a bit of reality, that's all - and we have had loads of feedback form guys who love its direct style, the greatest compliments that we did get were from guys who simply said "I don't read Christian books but I read yours." that's why we feel so strongly about this book and the untapped market that it is starting to reach.
